Genplast was founded in 1996 in response to the growing demand for plastic recycling. The need for environmentally friendly handling of plastic was clearer than ever, which meant that the company established strong partnerships with important customers early on.

An important part of Genplast's business model is to sell the recycled plastic granules back to companies that need raw materials for their production. This helps to close the loop and reduce the need for new plastic production.

The company also offers finished products made from the recycled plastic granules, such as packaging, cable ties, containers, furniture and other items suitable for various purposes.

Production is done to order through long production chains, where LOTs of plastic are collected and split in various processes. The documentation of which processes each material undergoes is central in order to document exactly what the end products contain. The management of processes and stock picking is done, using a TS Application, by scanning QR codes on mobile devices.
